Been following this little visitor on my kaffir lime tree for a couple weeks. Started out looking like a bird poop, very quickly it got massive and now a chrysalis. The second last photo was this morning where it had attached itself to the branch and by tonight it had completed the chrysalis to become a butterfly.
I'll be checking on it morning and evening… and maybe lunch time 🙈 (I WFH full time so a lunch time garden stroll is often a thing) I'm hoping to see it emerge 🥹
It has done a bit of damage to the tree but nothing crazy, it'll grow back within a few months. I'm hoping to have more come to my citrus trees. Incredibly magical.
