Got this planter as a gift. It has a bunch of differents plants, a couple of Aloe, lithos, zebra haworthia, and something else. It looks like spider mites are on them. I’ve never had spider mights and I don’t know what to do since from what I’ve read these plants don’t like a lot of water. I’m good with Jade and monstera, but this is new. How do I get rid of the spider mites? And should I repot them into individual pots, or can some of them be potted together like they are?

absolutely repot them all – they need different watering schedules (those lithop will die sooo quick if left in there) and a less organic soil mix. spider mites don’t live in soil so id recommend spraying with neem oil and wiping down the plants while you’re repotting. you can be thorough that way. it won’t be no thing, they’ll be gone before you know it. isolate now though before they spread!

You’d be better off planting the lithops in gravel from a playground than this😆. I never understood people that make these “death traps” (obviously not blaming you – but you can fix it very easily)

I have my lithops in a very heavy inorganic mix. You want to mimic their arid natural environment where they will get a dumping of rain very quickly then nothing for a while. Pumice, perlite, Grit, Clay, coarse sand.

As for the other plants in there, you can go for a little more organic mix but still lots of grit!
