I've read that you're not supposed to water lithops when they're splitting, because they take the water from the "old" one and watering can cause rot. At first I thought it was splitting, but it kind of looks like it's sprouting a flower. I'm not sure though, this is my first time owning lithops and I got them pretty recently, maybe a month ago. Anyway, I was wondering if it's safe to water them when they're flowering? Or if it'll cause damage like when they're splitting. Thank you!
Also, if anyone knows what type of lithops this is, an ID would be much appreciated. I bought a few succulents along with this lithops and none of them were labeled, and while I guess it's not super important, it'd be cool to know what type I have. Thanks!

I think that’s a flower because I have something like 10+ in various stages of flowering right now. Bottom soak the pot and put it back in its sunny spot and it should be fine.
They already look too swollen – don’t water
