Laternflies are all over our tree. We don’t really mind them but we’re wondering if they will damage the tree. What should we do?

We don’t water the tree. We are in the Northeast US. It gets plenty of sunlight.

Thank you!

They kill the tree slowly by sucking the tree’s sap. They are considered invasive. You should report it to your state and kill them

A portable chicken or peahen in the hands will take care of that real fast.

Kill these insects, they are highly invasive and at this point its surprising you’re in the NE and don’t know that. Not trying to be rude, but there has been a very public concerted effort to eradicate these things.

    Kill them, please
