I have a small patio in the back. It's not much space to work with but I wanted to create as much of an ecosystem as I could. This is a 70ish gallon stock pond with marginal aquatic plants. The only non-natives are the palm and pothos, both of which I inherited when I moved in. I currently have a pump going but I will be building a bog filter for it. I will also be adding some driftwood to allow for easier entrance/exit and for more underwater shelter. The ugly paver in the middle is just temporarily keeping my pickerel weed in place until I can repot it.
If nothing else, a toad has already taken up residence under one of the exterior pavers so the project was worth it.
First timer doing a container pond so I'm sure there will be a lot of getting things wrong along the way. Feedback and advice welcome!
