So, this elephant's ear came with something from the pant store. I suspect it to be spider mites and have started treating if for that. Also, ever since, it's been getting new leaves, but they've been oddly shaped as well.
However, I'd appreciated hearing an educated guess from the rest of you. Since, I'm still a beginner with all of this.

    Yes, those dots are signs of spider mites. I can’t see the odd shapes that you are mentioning though.

    Could it be thrips? They look too elongated to be spider mites, but I couldn’t tell zooming in on the pics.

    My guess are mealy bugs based on the powder. It doesn’t look like thrips because there aren’t exoskeletons. I think spider mite webbing would more aggressively shown.
