Hi everyone,
I moght going to buy this Hoya from a private seller who labeled it as Hoya argentea Princess (possibly related to Nova Ghost).
The plant looks healthy, but I’ve been wondering whether it’s a true Hoya argentea or rather a Hoya carnosa cultivar or hybrid.
I’d love to hear your thoughts — does it look like argentea, a carnosa type, or maybe something in between (like a “Nova Ghost” line)?
Any feedback from experienced collectors would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you 🌿

Reverted Argentea making it a nova ghost. You could probably cut the green back and see if new growth retains Varigation.
Edit. It should say Argentea Princess as noted in other posts.
The full name is Hoya carnosa Argentea Princess. If it gets reverted like the one you posted (full silver leaves without inner variegation) it’s gonna be called a Hoya carnosa Nova Ghost.
This is the taxonomy overview Chat GPT sent me. It so weird using species names to assing a variation.

Argentea princess revert
It’s all Carnosa with a few mutations layered on top. Inner variegation, outer variegation and full splash coverage. There’s more mutations like pink(increased anthocyanins) and morphological(compacta) but nvm. I made this diagram. Behold!

I will say that argentea princess is infamous for reversion.
…yes?
