Little under 4 weeks ago I dethatched, aerated, overseeded (tall fescue) and rolled on top soil. Stuck to a watering schedule and I'm very pleased with the results. Zone 6b.
I know it's not perfect, but I have a dog and 2 kids that are rough on the yard and I'm just glad it's filling in! The big empty spots are where I dug up huge rocks in my yard and filled them in.

That’s some thick turf, looks great!
Looks good. Hit it with fertilizer and it’ll even out those green spots so the whole thing is the same dark blueish green. Or chelated liquid iron would work too but without the extra growth.
