Photo 2 is right after putting it in, photo 1 is 6 weeks later, I messed up and left it outside in the sun for too long, photo 3 is a month later how it looks now attempting to recover, which looks like it will. It's an Alpine moss and I don't know if it will live without winter dormancy.
I was really hoping this main clump would stay short, but as I'm seeing mosses go, they usually don't.
I have some hardscape that I'll use if this thrives.

I hope your moss recovers. As you said, it’s looking like it will. Also, need to say that’s a stroke of genius with the pot lid!
