Drove nearly 5 hours to collect this 40+yr old conophytum flavum v. Novicium- 24cms diameter, 5kgs (it just fit in my moto rucksack). Met seller at the NW mesemb show Manchester, UK..so just had to buy more πŸ™ˆ (last pics)

  1. Wow! What a specimen! And the others also are wonderful! Take good care of them!

  2. Wow this is incredible!

I fully intend on going to this show next year as I’m just starting to care for lithops and conos. I’d be terrified of getting such an established plant though, the sheer responsibility of making sure it’s well cared for and thrives.. I couldn’t!!

Edit to ask a quick question: is it okay to remove the dried leaves at the base of the plump ones on conos or is it better to leave them as is?
