I need you guys's expertise on the reasoning for the yellow leaves and eventually falling off.
I thought it was because of fall… we would lose a few leaves (max 3 or 4) but it's been happening almost every week the past 2-3 weeks.
Does this mean I have to change the soil? It's been around 1.5 to 2 years since I changed the soil.

They’re in the back and hidden below newer leaves, and the light source doesn’t evenly distribute light across the whole plant. The leaves are therefore useless for the plant to keep since they can’t properly photosynthesize
