A North Devon Garden centre is set to celebrate Halloween in style this year with a fantastic program of spooky activities for all.
Merry Harriers Garden centre, in Woolfardisworthy, near Bideford, has plenty of Halloween that is bigger and better than before.
Their popular Halloween Trail is returning, running every day throughout the half-term holiday from Saturday October 25 until Sunday November 2. Families can explore nine eerie Halloween displays in their biggest trail yet.
It will feature witches, ghouls, animatronics and creepy surprises hidden around their plant area. Children will be able to collect letters along the trail to solve a theme word puzzle and collect a Halloween treat at the end.
Spooky dress up is encouraged(Image: Merry Harriers)
Their main Halloween celebration will take place on October 25, when Merry Harriers will be transformed into a day of spooky fun beginning at 9:30am.
Families can enjoy a Halloween Breakfast in the restaurant and children are encouraged to turn up in their spookiest fancy dress. Children’s breakfast will be £6.95 and adults can order from their regular menu. It is advised to book in advance.
Face painting will be available at the garden centre and entry is free.

Owner Edward Serna at Merry Harriers said: “We have everything from cob-webs to pumpkin lights, get everything you need to have a spook-tacular Halloween!”
The family run garden centre started from humble beginnings and was opened by the Serna family in April 2000.
Merry Harriers has grown into a beloved destination, home to their award-winning ‘Mad Hatters’ restaurant, a large indoor and outdoor furniture shop, hair salon, and local crafting shop.
