Hello everyone,

I wanted to share a progress report on my ongoing A. pallidiflorum variegation project, which started with the self-pollination of my giant mother plant. The genetic variegation has been confirmed, and the seedlings are thriving!

The Plants in Focus (Image Gallery):

  • The Original Pioneer (Image 1-4): This older plant, originating from the first self-pollination, shows an extreme amount of white. While breathtakingly beautiful, its high variegation makes it a challenging grower. And im not sure if it survives long term.
  • The Next Generation (Image 5-8): These strong, medium-sized seedlings came from the second batch of seeds. They are a massive improvement in terms of vigor and definitley the showstoppers! I've selected these two as the best, as they display stable, well-balanced variegation—the perfect ratio of green to white. They are truly the future! Eitherway they are the plants I breed further with or maybe they are already perfect – only time will tell!
  • Other Unique Finds (Image 9-10): There ist also one with super pretty varigation but its simply too small to grow out, as its growing super slow. (Picture 9) On picture 10 is a plant which is pretty interesting but not too pretty haha – but it might look interesting once it matures!

Call to Action:

Which variegation style of the too promising seedlings (Pictures 5-8) do you find more appealing? And what do you think about the mutated one on the last picture?

P.S. This is my new account, u/feedmeseymour. The old one was u/abholen.

Number 5 has the best variegation, but they are all gorgeous! Interested to see how the last one grows out too. I’d love to have one of these someday 💚

i loooooove 5 and 6, thats the kind of variegation i always grow out on my plants. the mutated one is cute too but i personally am not a fan of twisted leaves unless theyre proven to grow out without complications

  6. Wow! Amazing job! And so fun to see the variations!

5 and 9 are gorgeous I think. I love the half moons so much in general.
