This guy is from a grocery store almost 4 years ago. It’s survives off pure neglect. I water maybe once a month and have never changed the soil.
I’m now getting more into plants and propagating and would like to snip this into two plants.
What’s the best way to do this? Where should I cut? What should I do after I cut it? I’m terrified of completely killing the plant by disturbing its cycle of neglect.
After getting a grow light it’s throwing off aerial roots and babies which is what makes me want to repot and propagate.

I think you can prop from the green trunk at the top but definitely sure this isn’t getting enough light. Reaching for more.
Hmmm looks like a jade plant to me so considering that its a succulent, I recommend cutting a few leaves down from the top and planting it back into the soil or water propagate. As far as the rest, Im sure you could do the same, Ive honestly never tried it that way with the left overs. But for the rest wiggle the leaves off to where you dont leave any behind, it should snap right off and lay them in a tray of soil flat with the tip slightly pressed into the soil to encourage root growth. Mist them every so often but don’t let them dry out during this process place them in bright light & you should see new growth.
So I think this is a jade plant and if I’m right it’s nothing thriving.
it needs much more light than it’s getting
these are all props of jade that live outside in full afternoon sun. similar size and age to what yours is but they grow very compactly when they have enough light
