I have a sanderiana that I’ve been desperately trying to bring back to health after it dropped all of its leaves after I bought it home. I’ve managed to get it back to two leaves and I’ve been watching its new growth with excitement. It had five sheaths so I thought it was going to a pretty spectacular leaf.
… only to discover it’s a f#*king flower 🤨

Wheezing…. it might be trying to do a last ditch effort flower, make sure you keep it happy with fertilizer.

Ah, yes, the classic “barely clinging to life so we’re going to bloom like a maniac” phase.
You have to be patient with the nobilis. But the leaves are worth the wait. Mine dropped leaves and all its roots twice. Then grew a flower as it was dying and then it was just a stump. 6 weeks later it randomly put up two huge leaves bigger than my hand and burst 3 corms from beneath the pon.
I wouldn’t cut the flower.
