Hello all, I picked up this Alocasia from Home Depot. I don't know the specific type but it was labeled as an Elephant Ear.
I've had her about 5 weeks, she's by a window but it's been cloudy and raining the last few weeks.
Anyways one of her stems has been slowly dropping a few inches every day this week. This morning I woke up to it completely bent. During this time she also has had 2 new growth shoots.
Is this normal? Did it sacrifice this one leaf because it's putting energy into the two new leafs?

I have both of mine supported when leaves get too big and heavy. I thought it was because of the weight. 🤷🏽♀️other than that, my plants look happy and healthy.
