It’s the weekend again, and that can mean only one thing: it’s time for another event in Roblox’s Grow a Garden! This week’s update brings the Chubby Chipmunk event, adding a new chipmunk weight mechanic, as well as lots of new plants, pets, and items.

How Does The Chubby Chipmunk Work?
Claim your free Chubby Chipmunk from the center of the map and then set it loose in your garden. The aim is to make your chipmunk weigh as much as possible so that you earn better rewards.
It’ll gain weight by:
Eating crops from your garden.
Aging up.
During the event, Acorns will periodically appear on the map and when you claim them you will be given a random reward, from the below:

Nutty Fever
You can trigger Nutty Fever by submitting enough crops to the NPC in the center of the map. Once you fill the gauge to 1,500 (with fruits being with more the rarer they are), Nutty Fever will begin and last for five minutes.
During this time, your Chubby Chipmunk will eat more to gain weight faster, and Acorns will appear more frequently.

Passive Trait: Every 1.57m, it eats a fruit from your garden and gains 0.010kg in weight (but will ignore favourited or single-harvest fruits).
After eating, an Acorn will spawn somewhere randomly on the map and you can collect it for a reward.

Passive Trait: All Nut type plants grow 1.56x faster.

Passive Trait: Every 30m, it goes over to another pet and rolls near them, making that pet perform its ability three times in a row.
