Hello all! I made the cardinal no-no of not making note of the species… I would love if someone can help me ID him for proper care instructions. Seems to be doing pretty well in a south facing window, I know the pot doesn’t have drainage but it’s so pretty. He drinks water very quickly, the soil is usually dry despite 3x/week-ish waterings. I think I may be overwatering because the little leaves are getting mushy. Thanks, guys!

I thinks it’s a Delosperma sp, and it’s etiolated and not really happy.
To have him thriving you absolutely need a grow light. These should be treated as cacti, you really really need drainage in your pot (just to keep him alive, let alone thriving) but given both of those things and watered much much less he will do extremely well
It looks like a pickle plant
I have some of those little Princess Mononoke guys in one of my plants!
I got them at a bachelorette party (my SIL is awesome). I didn’t want them sitting in a box somewhere forgotten— so, they’re camping out, keeping my black jewel orchid company.
This is neither here nor there, seeing this just kind of made my week 🙂
A cactus. No drainage is a big NO NO. Will kill it quickly. Don’t water 3 times a week. When cactus get mushy the roots are waterlogged and dying. Cacuus won’t die with weekly- small pots, or bi weekly -large pots, waterings- with drainage. Need to repot with cactus soil in a different pot.
