I water the plant every 1.5 to 2 weeks and check the soil dryness with a chopstick. it gets 9-10 hours under a growlight every day. I really want to save this plant and I would be really sad if it died. I already checked for pests so I'm thinking maybe it's rootbound, fertilizer burn, or some type of fungus. a couple leaves have been affected by this and they aren't the oldest leaves at the bottom either. I'm just confused and don't know if I need to resort to pruning.

Dealing with the same thing on my girl😭
I had the same when I had thrips, would hate to see a beauty like this die. Can you check under the leaves, any small black bugs?
This brown edge with the yellow halo has only happened to my monstera when they are over watered. Edema causes those cells around the perimeter to burst and die. Sometimes the damage continues to creep for a while because not all damage appears immediately.
Lil white dots on leaves look like spider mites to me they effect ends first
The spots make it look like something has been biting on your leaves. I would just start spraying them down with horticulture spray or alcohol as a preventative. Keep them well dusted or wiped off. Maybe give it a shower. Also check any of the other plants in the area.
I had one I just saved doing the same thing, the roots were bound and had to re-pot into a larger pot. I did get the old soil out of the roots as well and kept it in a bucket of water for a couple days. It’s doing great now.
Damn what a beauty
Looks like thrips to me.
Thrips
Its concentrated at the veins it seems, so probably some sucking insect. I’ve heard thrips can be elusive, check again. Captin Jack’s Dead Bug brew from Lowe’s or Walmart with spinosad or BT might help.
Sigh…it’s always thrips
Looks like light burn to me
