I have a big propagation pot outside that my dog made fall down the stairs today, and I found out this small Haworthia had a huge straight up carrot like root… I saw bigger roots before, but this one is so straight, and have smaller roots down. So I tried to pot it up like the root was a tree trunk because I thought it would look really nice.. and I have lots and lots of that variety I don't mind if I don't succeed.. but I would be kind of sad if I fail lol

Just wondering if anyone here tried to do that as well and if anyone succeed?

The root was intact but some of the leaves are damaged from the fall

You can’t really if at all make a bonsaï with an haworthia :/

Looks pretty cool to me! Love the idea. Keep us in the loop as this develops.

Technically speaking haworthia are super difficult to bonsai-ify because their stems are mostly just really tightly bound leaves and they don’t really shape nicely. But yea I’d imagine an older specimen might have a gnarly trunk(scientifically not a trunk).
