I was luckily given this giant monstera cutting yesterday (5-6 ft tall). Glove for size reference – tbh I wasn’t expecting it to be this gigantic. I have a few normal sized monsteras already, but am a bit nervous to tackle this large beast. I’ve already cut off the fruit to focus energy for the roots. My next question is how should I hack this? Seems like it’s best to keep one or two leaves per smaller cutting. Should I just slice it so each section has some root? Can I also cut the bottom end of the stem into multiple sections? I’ve never propagated before with just a stem piece so wondering if that would work.
Not sure if it matters, but I’d to keep this potted indoors.
Any help or tips would be appreciated while I go sharpen my knife since my pruners….won’t cut it.
