The plant is a cannabis plant. My first try. I think the plant is male. But it still smells pretty heavy. I heard cannabis plants are very in danger of parasites.
There is a small slimy looking something on the plant.
What do I do?
Its so disgusting ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ i know nature be beautiful but I can’t bare to look at it. Its slimy and just sticks on the plant. I found two. One in the pic and another one on the underside of a leaf. It does not seem to harm the plant (yet?) but I wanna smoke the plant one day and just having these smily things on my plant inside my house…noo I wanna get rid of it and never want it back.
I am watering every 4th or 5th day because the plant is inside the house and the dirt becomes try only after 4 or 5 days, if I water more often the plant lets her leafs down.
The plant used to stand on another window, where the sun hit directly I would say most of the day. Problem was, the window was above garbage cans(i cannot move them) and so many flies from there went inside the window and into the house(altough I used an insect screen but tiny flies would still find their way in). The window is now closed permanently. And I moved the plant to another room, to the window you can see in the picture. It doesnt get as much light now, but still enough (assuming because the plant still grows).

It’s scale
It appears to be scale. I scrape them all off, squish them and spray my plants with neem oil. Make sure to check under every leaf and all side of branches. If you stay on top of it, it can be eliminated. If ignored for too long it can kill the plants.

Male plants won’t produce flower… they’ll just ruin your bud. If it’s male, it’s gotta go. I wouldn’t worry too much about trying to cure the scale.
If it’s male why are you keeping it?
It’s scale I use soap and water and just wash them off 🙂 easiest pest to deal with ^_^
I am afraid if it is a male plant you probably won’t want to be smoking it, anyway. It wont produce flower.

guys what if op is breeding a strain? or just likes the look of male plants as a houseplant? or is using them for hemp?
Do not keep males, you’re going to ruin everyone’s plants around you. Polen gets pretty far. As soon as you can tell it’s a male, kill it and either process it to extract what you can get from it or burn/toss it.

Everyone is focusing on the Scale, but if you want to keep this (male) plant, then you’ll need to take care of the Thrips causing that white speckling on your leaves too
Also, spend some time on GrowWeedEasy dot com before trying to grow cannabis. Its not a simple process.
Even if you don’t care about the scale (you should) you *also* have spider mites. Look carefully at the second picture, where the fan leaf *would* be directly above the scale. That is unmistakable spider mite webbing, and you can see the mites. You need to isolate this plant and either trash it immediately or aggressively treat it. You don’t want either of these pests to gain a foothold in your home.
