Hello friends. I hope you guys are doing well. Yes, now is the season to plant your spring blooming bulbs in fall. Have you ever seen beautiful gardens in the spring with daffodils, tulips, hyins, and you wonder how did that happen? That’s because they were planted in fall. If this is your first time, special welcome. And if you’re coming back, so happy you’re back. Today we are at Lowe’s Garden Center. Yes, they have the bulbs already. So, I got in zone 6B7A in Pennsylvania. So, I’ll be planting my bulbs next month in October. Once the soil temperature is consistently at, I would say 60° or so, you should start to think of getting your bulbs in the ground. So, let’s start with alium. So, we have these crystal fee alium six in the bag for $4.98. And as always, make sure you inspect your products and make sure the bulbs are good. Very important. And they’re hardly from zones 5 through 8. They will only get 16 to 20 in tall. And they bloom for you early summer. So if you can find different aliums that blooms at different period, definitely something you should keep in mind so that way you have consistent blooms in your garden. And then down below here we have purple sensation. One of my favorites. There’s 15 bulbs in here and aliums are deer resistant because they have this onion smell. I think they belong in the onion family for 15 in the pack. It 15 in the pack will cost you $14.98. And these will bloom late spring and they will get 28 to 32 in tall. These ones are the tall ones, friends. And the packet it looks like pink, but in person they’re actually more purple. I just love aliums. They give this whimsical look in the garden. Almost like a long overgrown lollipop looking at you. That’s the best way to describe it. So pretty. And then here we have crocas for 4.98. These are Holly from zones 3 to 9 and they will get only 4 to 6 in tall and they bloom early in the spring season. I know some people put crocus in the grass, but anyway. So, they have them in different colors. You have the white. This is so pretty. And they’re very, very early. I think they’re not sure if they’re the first spring bulb to bloom, but they bloom very, very early for you. So, they have the mix here with the purple and the white, and they have the solid white. And they’re great for containers, too, because they grow very, very short. If you have a large bowl, they’re great to put in there. Anyways, and here we have daffodils. I love daffodil. There’s 15 in here for $14.98. And the daffodil will get 10 to 18 in tall and they hardly form zones 2 to 10. And they bloom mid spring and friends with your daffodil. They do naturalize underneath the ground. So they will make babies so to speak like smaller bulbs and they will multiply for you over the years to come. And I want to give you a word of advice. Make sure you take the hole for your bulbs at least three times the size of the bulbs. You do not want the rodents to get your bulbs. Okay, very very important. And then here we have this other daffodil. This is so pretty. 498. There’s four in the pack. And they’re also deer resistant and they make great cut flowers. This one will get 14 to 16 in tall hardy from zones 2 to 10. So that cover a lot of the zones there. I love cutting them and making bouquets and I would say they probably last two to three weeks in a floral arrangements. Just have to change out the water and clip on the ends every 3 days also. But they’re great as cut flowers. And look at this one down here. This is the double mix friends. Just look at that. It reminds me of a candy. There’s 15 in here for $14.98. And these will bloom midspring and they will get 14 to 16 in tall. So if you can find daffodils that bloom at different period, go ahead and pick them up just as you would with your tulips and your other spring bulbs. So you have a fantastic show for the spring season. And these ones will get 12 to 16 in tall. And here we have the trumpet Dutch master. These will get 14 to 16 in tall blue mid spring and you have 15 in the back for $14.98. All righty friends, let’s go down to the bottom here and see what type of daffodils we have. This one is a trumpet mix. As you can see, there’s 25 in here for $16.98. And I love the trumpet blooms on these ones. And as I said before, they’re dare resistant and they make great cut flowers. [Music] And these will get 14 to 16 in tall. And they also will bloom midspring. And as you see there with your bulbs, put them in full sun. And this is just me inspecting the bag just to make sure. Once again, make sure you inspect your bags, friends. You want to make sure you’re purchasing quality bulbs. All righty, friends. Let’s move on to tulips. So, here we have four in the pack. These are the fire wings. They are $4.98 and they will get 16 to 20 in tall and they will bloom late spring. These are really pretty. Look at that, friends. So pretty. the red with the yellow combination. And then next to them, we have Tulip Darwin Hybrid Mystic. These will get 18 to 20 in tall and the blue midspring. Such a beautiful light pink. And then down below here, we have 15 tulips in the bag for $14.98. This is the passion fruit mix. These will get 12 to 14 in tall and they’re hard from zones 2 to 8 and they will bloom midspring. Oh, look at this one. This one is so pretty. This is a spring delight mix. 14.98 15 in the pack and they will get 18 to 20 in tall and they bloom midspring. And friends, just a side tip for you. If you’re looking for tulips, you could cut on the triumph mix. They’re the good ones cuz the stems are very, very long. Look at this beautiful purple combination. This will get 18 to 20 in tall also. And this one is also the triumph violet mix for you. And then over here, this is also the spring delight mix. I feel like the packaging is different there. Anyways, that’s what I was like looking at to compare them. All righty. And then look at this one. Okay, this one screams me. This is my color palette. I love this color palette. Summer sunset blend. This is so pretty. All righty. So, these will get 20 to 22 in tall. And the blue midspring. So, this one is also a good one if you’re looking for tulips to cut on. This is the Darwin hybrid. I love the orangey and red colors in the garden. They make such a huge impact. And then down below here for $16.98, there’s 25 in the pack. This one is a Darwin hybrid mix. Also, these will get 20 to 22 in tall. And the bloom time is mid spring. Friends, if you’re looking for a different color, try red tulips. I’m telling you, you will love red tulips in the garden. Anyway, so here we have another combination. This one I have I have a lot of these in the garden. These will get 20 to 22 inches tall and they bloom midspring. And that’s just me inspecting the bulb. As I keep telling you guys, make sure your bulbs are healthy. All righty, friends. So, let’s move on to higher synth. All righty. So, there’s 15 bulbs in the pack for $14.98. This is the berry collection. I did purchase this one last year, and I really enjoy the colors. And just a side note, these bulbs are really, really huge. They will get 10 to 12 in tall, and they bloom midspring, and they prefer full sun to partial shade. I cannot stress enough, make sure you dig the hole three times the size of the bulb when you’re planting it. very very important so that way the rodents would not take the hole that easily. Right? So if you plant it just 3 in they’re going to get your bulb. So do it three times the size of the bulb. So if the bulb measures 3 in 3 * 3 is 9. That’s how I do it. I just take the whole three times the size of the bulb and it works for me all the time, friends. I can’t stress that enough. All righty. So here we have more crocus. These will get four to 6 in tall bloom early spring. So friends, get out to your garden center, see what you can find, right? And you can start to purchase your bulb when the temperature is at least 60° and remember to plant them three times the size. When you dig the hole, try not to be messy. put the bulb in the hole and then pat on the ground and just try to make sure there’s no dirt around because I’m telling you when I plant these bulbs in my garden and I’m messy the squalls they know I just planted something. So I always try to tidy up the space when I finish so that way it would deter the squalls from digging the holes, right? They say you could use pepper flakes, peppermint, onion flakes smells to deter them. Once I ding my hole three times the size, I don’t have to worry about the squalls getting my bulbs. They do try, but guess what? They do not get to the bulbs. Anyway, friends, once again, make sure you plant your bulbs now to get spring bloom. All right, guys. Thank you so much for being here and thank you so much for watching. I truly appreciate each of you and I’ll see you in the next one.
