MIgardener: The 4th Generation Farm Growing YOUR Bean Seeds!
Special thanks to Kevin from Sheridan Acres farm for having us, allowing us to tour and inspect the farm to see the product we put in our packages. Tell them we said hello and check them out at: https://www.sheridanacres.com
I really can't believe that folks complain and say you're not a farmer. You do more than most do. A commercial farmer buys his hybrid seed s and plants it. You do so much more!
I call myself a farmer and I have 2/3 of an acre and raise most of my food, vegetables and fruits, not dairy and meat Few people do what I do either bit it is my passion , my obsession, my dream fulfilled!
I grew tendergreen and blue lake this year and I had beans out the rear. I mean I got so many beans set aside for cannng plus enough seeds harvested to last mem several seasons. And I got cherokee yellow wax that I have yet to even start harvesting all in a small garden.Beans are so easy to grow
That was really cool Luke. I’ve grown many beans that I have purchased from you and to now see your seed producer and his farm helps bring it full cycle. Thank you!
How do the rest of us get into farming, if we cannot rely on inheriting a fully working concern from out family? What is the point in have an agricultural degree, if multi-million investments are the bottle-neck?
I enjoy your knowledge. I’m 74. I’ve been gardening for 50 years . My garden choices have changed over the years . This year I was hoping to grow cucumbers that I could pickle ! It didn’t work this year . I marked my calendar in Dec to look at your channel to start my seed CHOICES and think about WHAT I WANT. And pick the seeds that will work for me …. Thanks so much Brenda , Portland Oregon
