That is a thistle blossom, probably an artichoke. Aren’t they gorgeous?

A beautiful artichoke
I think I enjoy them more as flowers than food. They are a lot of work to eat and I like other vegetables better.
The flower is a Cardoon flower, also commonly known as the artichoke thistle.
I have a neighbor near me that has an artichoke plant and it dies off and comes back every year and the bumblebees absolutely go ape for it!!
