– Paso Robles Recreation Services volunteers will host a free public workshop on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Uptown Family Park Community Garden, 641 36th Street, in Paso Robles. The event is open to all ages and will cover the preparation, healthy growth and lifecycle of fall bulbs and rhizomes. No registration is required.
Families are welcome at the garden workshops, and on Sept. 27, children can participate in a free rock painting activity and have snacks.
According to the city, local volunteers have revitalized the garden, which now includes fruits and vegetables, cutting flowers, ornamentals and common species used in landscaping on the Central Coast. The workshops recur on the fourth Saturday of each month.
“We are thrilled to bring this hands-on, educational workshop to the community garden and create a welcoming space for learning and connection,” said Wyatt Lund, volunteer coordinator. “These workshops are a great opportunity for residents to gather, grow, and appreciate the beauty of gardening together.”
