While the onset of fall often means shuttering seasonal venues, that’s not the case at Bookworm Gardens.  The nonprofit, storybook-themed botanical garden on University Drive is embracing the season with more than 10,000 lights and Halloween-themed decorations, and preparing events designed for everyone from the family pet to adults-only.

A pumpkin decorating workshop is first up on October 2nd, and on the following two days, the adults-only “Boos & Brews” offers themed cocktails, local food trucks and live music.

For family pets, “Happily Haunted Hounds” on October 9th-only welcomes dogs to a doggy fortune teller booth, “Trick for a Treat” challenge and other activities.  And then the rest of the month features “Happily Haunted” for people of all ages to enjoy.  Kids get a treat bag while all guests can enjoy nighttime strolls, hear Halloween stories,  and warm up at a bonfire between 5 and 8 PM.
