I've found that maintaining my garden over the summer can sometimes feel like a chore.
I don't think I'm alone in that, but you have to remember what you're working towards.
This pot of soup is made from chicken stock I rendered from a whole chicken carcas, with my own green onions, yellow onions, garlic, potatoes, carrots, rosemary and basil. Plus some chicken of the forest that I traded my tomatoes to get.
I added a carved up chicken breast that I did on the charcoal grill.
Man, I hope it doesn't suck.

Congrats! Looks great! We just did potato soup with leeks, carrots, cutting celery, parsley, and potatoes from our garden along with bacon from our local farmer. It’s such a rewarding feeling to eat what you grow.
