I like it – but the fact that the Ario is smack dab in the middle throws it off a little for me.

I’d try for one nice large rock, use the 2 largest in the pot already as the your mid-sized, and then use what’s left as the small dressing rocks. You can create a hierarchy of interest that way of large, mid, and small around the plants and build depth that way. I would off-center the plant too for a more dynamic composition.

I think it looks fine! Staging gets so personal and everyone has their idea of a proper staging. But just do what makes you feel good.
I used a dried up root system of a pepper plants to create a shrub for a couple arios I staged together.
