One of my personal favorites. Fairly easy to grow.
but here are some things to know. Once planted they are almost impossible to ever move. They look 100X better if they are deadheaded daily.
If you are a natural dyer, the color comes out of the flowers easily but sticks to NOTHING. I have tried every method, every mordant, and the color never sticks to fibers, be they animal or plant fibers.
Many Asians believe the roots to platycodon are medicinal and you might get someone to stop by and ask to dig up some of your roots!!! I found it hard, but I did say no the only time I had it happen. I prized my flowers way too much and they can buy powdered roots on line if they really want to use them medicinally

Yes, its platycodon, and the other poster is right, they are hard to move when they’re alive. You should wait for a die-back and move in fall.
Otherwise, great hardy plant, a real survivor with nice flowers.
Some varieties are taller than others, so check that if you decide to buy. My friend has a dwarf height variety of about 6 inches, and mine are pillars and get about 30 inches tall

They are beautiful, but I’m my experience, very invasive. Take over everything, and you’ll never be without them, popping up places you never dreamed of. Make sure you love it before you plant it! Or put it in a pot.😁
