The Rancho Santa Fe Garden Club’s Bloom Again Resale Shop bid a fond farewell to longtime volunteer Joyce Burns, who retired on Friday, Sept. 19, after eight years of dedicated service.
A Rancho Santa Fe resident for over 47 years, Burns has been a Garden Club member for more than 35 years and remains an active presence in the community through her involvement with the Rancho Santa Fe Historical Society, Village Church, and the RSF Senior Center, according to a news release.
When asked what she will miss most about her Fridays at Bloom Again, Burns immediately mentioned her coworkers, shop manager Liz Lovelace, and the many customers who visit the shop each week.
Retirement won’t slow her down — Burns looks forward to filling her days with oil painting, Bible study, golf, poker, and Tuesday rounds of golf. She also plans to return to the shop from time to time to visit her friends.
Bloom Again Resale Shop, located in the heart of Rancho Santa Fe, is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Information on volunteering and donating can also be found online at www.rsfgardenclub.org or by visiting the shop in person (entrance on La Granada).
The Rancho Santa Fe Garden Club welcomes members from across San Diego County. Membership details, upcoming events, and activities can be found at www.rsfgardenclub.org.
