Keep it in the high moisture environment for longer than you’d think. When I first started growing cactuses from seed I took mine out of the wet box/plastic bag too early and as a result I have a bunch of stunted cactuses that I’m not sure what to do with.

4-6 months is normal, and some people keep theirs in for an entire year. Use dilute H2O2 to treat fungus when it arises.

Higher humidity if container grown… don’t soak.., open the lid every other day for a couple minutes of fresh air… helps with keeping down fungus! Keep them under grow lights about 10hrs a day, transplant around a year.

The biggest thing is stay sanitary to keep any fungus at bay. I use food service gloves and alcohol to wash. And with luck 3 years later like these baby Saguaro cactus… good luck!
