Did you know a simple pile of rice straw can actually grow mushrooms? Before we continue, please like and subscribe. First, boil the straw for 15 minutes to kill bacteria. Then, take a plastic bottle, poke breathing holes in the sides, and layer in straw and mushroom spawn until it’s full. Press it down, seal the cap, and place it upside down in a cool spot under a plastic bag. After about 20 days, the inside turns white and tiny mushrooms start popping out of the holes. Remove the bag, mist with water a few times a day, and in just 4 to 5 days, they’re ready to harvest. Pick the big ones first, leave the small ones to keep growing, and enjoy a clean, endless supply of fresh mushrooms right at home.
