The Swindon store will host two events.

The ‘Grow How’ session, Caring for Your Autumn Garden, will take place on Wednesday, October 1 and Saturday, October 4 at 10.30am and 3.30pm.

Nigel Lawton, plant buyer at Dobbies, said: “Autumn is a great time of year in the gardening calendar and our free-to-attend workshops at the Swindon store showcase just how accessible and fun this hobby is.

“These sessions are designed for gardeners of all ages and abilities.”

The workshops will include a live demonstration on autumn gardening, covering winter plant care, soil preparation and pruning.

A member of Dobbies’ Green Team will also be on hand for a Q&A.

For younger gardeners, the Little Seedlings Club will run on Sunday, October 5 with a ‘Gross Gardens’ theme.

Aimed at children aged four to 10, the session will explore creepy crawlies, fungi and compost through interactive activities.

Attendees will create their own mini compost jar and take part in a garden-themed quiz.

Spaces for both workshops can be reserved for free through the Dobbies website.
