Noticed these swimmers around my plant roots. Who are they and should they be evicted?

    Mosquito larva.

    Just dump the water and refill with fresh weekly/a little more often than that and you shouldn’t have more live ones hatching.

    Ok thanks. I thought so but was also hoping I’d inadvertently started a terrarium

    Or a drop of dish soap (just 1 will do) it breaks the surface tension of the water and the larvae will not be able to transform into adults
