Wait till they start to yellow with age, then take them off. While they are healthy and green they are helping the plant grow. Best of Luck.

Cut some if you want to plant them in moist soil for propagation. You can even do this when the plant self-prunes a leaf. Just cut above the unhealthy part and plant it.
