This gang has been munching for days in my Virginia yard! They seem very large…when will they stop eating and start making their chrysalis? And, what happens when all the milkweed has been consumed?

    Just so you know that specie of milkweed (tropical milkweed/Asclepias currassavica) is not native to the US! Swamp milkweed (A Incarnata) and butterflyweed (A tuberosa) are your natives 🙂 tropical milkweed is no good for the migratory monarchs.
