My main monstera has been growing rapidly I’ve only had it for a couple of months now. I love the growth of new leaves etc but the aerial roots are starting to get longer and longer. What should I do with them? Don’t want to stress the plant out if possible

This plant survives in the wild. Just cut them off, it can very much deal with it. In the future when you notice that some aerial roots grow very long, guide them to the soil or when you stake it let them grow around it, or with a moss pole into it 🙂

  2. you can cut them off or stick in the pot. it’s up to you 🙂

  3. I personally would trim them and bend them over into the soil for extra support. Other let them grow all the way to the ground, and other cut them off all together.

I guide mine into the pot back into the soil. More support for the plant and they can take better advantage of the nutrients with more roots

I was just reading what everyone else said and I won’t type the same thing again because I agree with all the posts!! I have seen people put them in water and propagate….

I guide them gently into the pot and they do stabilize the plant over time-also I love the look of them!
