This poor thing has been through a lot of chaos in the last few months – two moves, a brief stint outside, an overwatering, and a lot of jostling around.
I would eventually like to repot it, but I’m not sure how long to wait before I do it. It’s been a very very long time since it had fresh soil and the pot has seen better days.
There is more light than it appears in this photo, there are large windows on either side of it and it was late in the day.
Does it need to be pruned? I’ve let it have a few months to rest but I don’t want to neglect it either.

I know you said there is more light than it appears.. but I still doubt this is enough light. It needs to be pretty direct lighting.
Your plant brown leaves on a fiddle leaf fig is due to a fungle infection from the roots sitting in too much moisture. First of all, the plant should be shifted another pot or container. A few days ago I faced a similar problem and I followed the tips written on the [page.](https://myindoorplants.com/2023/09/25/what-causes-how-to-cure-fiddle-leaf-fig-brown-spots/)
This tropical plant needs sunlight so much..it’s better to place it by brighter window/spot
..and it’s suitable for indoor and outdoor(as long as temperature is not below 5x°F/1x°C)
How often do you water it?Did you water it thoroughly each time?..and did you keep excess water in saucer after watering?
..these wilted leaves won’t recover..you may remove them all..
In the future,if you want more branches,a thicker trunk and keep its height(your ideal height)..you just “always” pluck terminal buds(or new growths)off..more buds(become branches) will grow along the trunk..trunk also grow thicker and thicker…..
