So I bought this from Walmart a month or so ago, with the label “philodendron white knight”, but it just unfurled its newest leaf and it has fenestrations??!? It has to be a Monstera right? But what monstera is it? Any answers would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks in advance!

My hope for this sub is that we stop supporting big box stores. We stop posting about them. We stop mentioning them in posts. We start supporting local. There are no “gems” at these places.

Def not a white knight lol, it’s a Thai Con. Really nice color on that big leaf- there are mutations that look like that, if it continues to put out that level of splashy color as seen in the first pic, it’ll be worth a pretty penny.

This is a Monstera Thai constellation, with a very beautiful ‘starlight’ variegated leaf. I would literally kill for one of these you very lucky person!! 😩😭. I have a philodendron white knight if you’d like to swap?? 😂

As others have said its a thai con, but congrats because you found a highly variegated one! you may see this online for crazy expensive as a ‘creme burlee’ or ‘starlight’ but they’re all just thai cons.

Thai Con from costa farms! The inner pot just got put into a white knight outer pot. Costa has really been putting out some nice plants lately

It’s a Thai con, however, philodendrons and pothos will both get really large leaves and fenestrations just like a monstera if they’re given a moss pole to climb!
