Dahlia. I love ’em! They produce tubers that resemble sweet potatoes that you can dig up over winter and plant elsewhere in spring. “Dinner Plate” Dahlias and Double Tuberous Begonias were two I grew together to compliment one another for many years.

There are so many types of Dahlia with different numbers of petals but this is definitely a variety.

It’s one of the “Mystic” Dahlias. They all have nearly black leaves and small, single flowers. They’re pretty neat. This one might be the one called “Mystic Fantasy.”
