I had squirrels chew straight through mine within 48 hours of having it. I had to wrap it in two layers of chicken wire but there’s still a squirrel sized hole in the bottom.

Maybe it’s for vermicomposting…. Because of the size it probably wouldn’t accommodate traditional composting. Not enough volume, most self maintaining piles require 1 cubic meter to maintain microbial activity. Many of the tumbler composters are nothing more than a marketable product to sell.

My mom got one for her garden and loves it. I’m lucky enough to have so much natural fauna on my property that I don’t need a bin to get great breakdown.
