I’ve made loads of different cuttings, would the plant survive in a new pot with soil?

I would say yes. My tradescantia got worse than this, simply stuck the vines in new soil and watered, got back on being nice and full shortly after.
They’re known for being very easy to prop.

Hell yes, those things come back from wee stubs, very durable indeed

just did the same without hesitation.. never had problem with those.
now the million dollar question for me is, how to make it bushy instead of leggy

Mine was worse than that. I was doing something they hate, wetting the leaves. Now I bottom water and I’ve cut off from the length and just stuck them in the dirt and she’s beautiful!

I would just take cuttings, and put them in water. Roots will grow VERY QUICKLY. Make sure to put it in a place that gets lots of sun, change the water every 3-5 days. Make sure to not put it in a small vessel, put it in a water bottle for example (or the water will get deoxygenated, nutrient deficient, and could lead to root rot). You can also try to propagate stems without any leafs, I had stems without leaves grow some roots. Keep the pot with the plant, leaving the stems like 2-3 inches long. In a month you will have a full pot (if you plant your successful cuttings with your original plant in the pot).
