Ladysbridge & District Flower & Garden Club will host Malcolm Kitt, AOIFA for a talk titled ‘Harvest Bounty’ on Monday, September 15 in the Garryvoe Hotel at 8pm. All are welcome on the night. Non-members €10.

Ballincollig Flower & Garden Club will host a teaching demonstration on Thursday, September 18 at 8pm by Sandra Jackson, AOIFA. All welcome! Non-members €10. The event includes light refreshments. As part of the Bicentenary celebrations of St John the Baptist Church in Midleton, the church is holding a harvest time flower festival in partnership with East Cork Flower Club and friends. It will be held over the weekend of September 20 & 21. The church will be open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10 am to 3.30 pm on Sunday. At 4pm on Sunday, there will be a Harvest Service featuring singing by the Clerks Choral, and our honoured guest preacher will be the former Dean, Canon Alan Marley. The theme of the flower festival will be welcome, and you will be made very welcome. As well as the flowers in the church, there will be a raffle and refreshments in the hall, along with a produce stall.
The Owenabue Garden and Flower Club, Carrigaline, will host a floral demonstration titled ‘Autumn Glory’ with Breda Keohane AOIFA on Monday, September 22 at 8pm. It takes place in St Mary’s NS, Waterpark, Carrigaline. The night includes an autumn decorative show with decorative and horticultural competitions, a raffle and refreshments. All welcome, visitors €10.
The Cork Alpine Hardy Plant Society hosts a talk by Steve Edney, owner of No Name Nursery in Sandwich, Kent, UK for a talk titled ‘Exotic Gardening. It takes place on Thursday, September 25 at 8pm at Scoil Mhuire Naofa, Station Rd, Carrigtwohill (T45PF80). All welcome. Visitors €10.
