Here’s Exactly What You Need To Repair A Garden Hose



This hose has a leak. I’m going to show you exactly what you need to fix it.
Starting with a toaster, a chainsaw, a hose repair kit, a box of blueberry pop tarts, a screwdriver, a clamp, a tiny assistant, a brand-new hose, and finally some marking paint.
First things first, use the clamp to shut off the water- I can’t think of a better way.
Next use the paint to mark the bad section of hose.
Then cut this section out using the chainsaw. This is by far the safest way.
Now grab the new hose and cut out a section the same length as the one you removed from the old hose.
At this point you’re going to want to stop and toast a pop tart. There’s never a bad time for a pop tart, and make sure to feed some to your assistant.
Next slide the hose repair kit into the old hose and tighten the clamp.
Slide on the new section of hose and tighten its clamp.
And then slide on the other section of old hose.
Congratulations if you made it this far. You’re all done!

    Or… you could just attach the new hose directly to the faucet… because this just feels like turning left 3 times to go right.

    The chain saw was FAR too SMALL for this job. Should be at least a 48” bar on that. Too much bending over there. Need 2 tall assistants that are younger to lift the hose up to you. 1/2 inch impact for those hose clamps.
    Other than that,,, PERFECT!! 😂😂
    The short assistant was the ideal motivator for the job! 😊

    Why not just chop off the tiny section with the hole in it and use ONE repair kit instead of TWO, and no need for EXTRA hose ? 😂

    I was going to recommend you use the torch for a cleaner cut but i guess the chainsaw works just as good. Next time buy a better quality water hose to get the piece off for the old hose. Other than that it looks great 👌🏽

    That was confusing why even bother fixing the hose you'd already had a brand new one. All those extra joints just another place for something to leak, but that was funny.
