this broke off of my money tree during transport. it has a tiny bit of the stem connected to it where it broke… will it propagate? does it need a full node or is it like a pilea and only needs a part of the stem to grow? this is my first money tree so plz send tips

I haven’t had luck with either pilea or pachira with just a leaf. I’ve had leaves in soil for 9 months they just end up rotting eventually.

I think strictly needs a node.

For such a small amount of meristemic tissue your only hope at prop would likely be tissue culturing.

Okay, i’m the odd one out but I had something similar happen to me And I put it in an old food container with some damp spagnum moss & closed the lid & put it under a grow light. Now today, I would probably put it in with fluval stratum, but it worked. And I have a whole little money tree. It’s got so many leaves right now. So I mean, it took a couple months to get some decent roots but mine looked almost exactly like that. It can’t hurt to try, right? And it’s kind of fun
