  1. For the record, I haven’t seen any buns grazing yet. I sprayed some liquid fence on some of the plants so I think maybe that is helping.

Hardware cloth cages if you’re really worried

Newb here. I planted some coneflower, black eyed Susan’s, obedient plant and a few others this summer. Next day I went out and the bunnies mowed them all down. Leaves and flowers gone, they just left some stems looking pitiful on each plant.

My question is, will these all come back next year? I know the important thing in the first season is for them to develops their roots, but can they develop a good root system with not much up going on top side?

I’ve been very lucky with My chicken wire fence.

black chicken wire is the answer (blends in nicer than the silver)

I once ordered a bottle of coyote pee… Those little guys still ate my asters. I’ve found a combination of a physical barrier, something stinky, and a portion of the lawn or garden that is purposely kept as a sacrifice to the rabbit gods seems to work.
