..I had no idea Amazon sold live plants. And even more surprising , i found a Neon pothos. So i took a risk, and here is the final result.
I love her already 🥺♥️

I purchased 4 Calathea plants on Amazon….unbeknownst to me, one arrived with a massive spider mite infestation that moved to the rest of them and now they have all gone to planty heaven. 😬

I already have a plant problem and an Amazon problem. Thanks so much for combining the two lol.

Nice Neon! I’m on there now trying for the Glacier I’ve been looking for.

I got a string of bananas and burrow tale probably 4 years ago and they both arrived in amazing shape! I also got a succulent pack that was great. But a few months ago I bought a succulent pack and they were all super stretched out and leggy…really bad shape. So you win some, you lose some.

Why not private sellers or your local plant shop? Even your Home Depot has those.

I’ve got on plants from Amazon. Brumbley and Bloom, as well as, Costa farms sell on there.

  6. I tried Amazon. I was NOT pleased. Shipping takes too long, and the plants are stressed and often dried out. They mostly died.

Then Etsy. Some sellers are usually good, but then they run into shipping issues and the same stressed plant problems. Some sellers are horrible but have great ratings. It’s extremely hard to know. I tried a few and was moderately happy. But most died.

If I might make a suggestion, I have been extremely pleased with the app PalmStreet. They have live auctions or sales! You see the exact plant or an example of one of the plants you are getting. Some of the stores offer coupons or discounts for just following them or watching on a particular day or time. Shipping is usually FedEx, UPS, or Priority USPS. It’s so fast!

I’ve only had 1 problem, and I’ve literally purchased dozens of plants from their sellers. The problem was because the plant was shipped late due to the sellers move to a new location. It’s not even a big deal.

They also sell plant products, artesian pottery, crystals and jewelry, crochet, etc.

But the prices are the best. I have purchased plants for literally $1.00. And they are beautiful, healthy, prized houseplants. They have giveaways on most auctions, too! I’ve won a philodendron silver sword that’s about a foot tall, a epipremnum pinnatum baltic blue, a Philo while princess, a small zz plant, a few syngoniums, and others I can’t remember atm.

Sorry, it sounds like I’m trying to sell PalmStreet, but I love it so much I’ve almost run out of room to put my plants.

    Have fun shopping!

Is that a neon? I inherited 3. My housekeeper brought them and put them on the shelf. I didn’t realize for a whole week. 😂

I must say I am lucky about buying plants. I work lawn and garden outside so I get to see the new plants as soon as they are in the greenhouse on the racks from the plant vendor

Only thing I bought was oxalis bulbs once but worked out well. I would never buy seeds there or rare things and probably assume half are fake but this one worked at least.

I have! As long as you check the sellers reviews and their policies as far as returns/complaints, I think it’s a nice option to have! I’ve also bought pathos, and they’ve continued to thrive.

Buying any plant online is always a risk no matter where, honestly. I can ALWAYS pick a better plant in person

I’ve gotten two orders from Amazon, from the same company you see in Lowe’s.

The only bad experience I had was the first order. Everything was going smoothly until I was on the third plant, in the sink, once I unwrapped the Saran Wrap and gripped the base, my hand met a slimy, dead and compressed frog glued into the plastic.

I had socks on in the kitchen and slipped backwards onto my booty in shock. That was the only bad experience tho

Just ordered a Champs Elysees and a Shangri-La from Walmart. The Champs has arrived and so far is all good

  14. I’ve gotten a string of hearts, a tradescantia nanouk, and a marble queen pothos from amazon, all in great condition. I can find marble queens at Home Depot/lowe’s sometimes but not the other 2. I try to find plants in person but I live rurally. HD & related stores are next town over & the closest quality nursery is an hour+ away. Still, I hate the anxiety of shipping a plant & trusting it’s packed well and trying to schedule around its arrival

I’ve had some luck with Amazon plants! Marble queen, neon, and a brasil. Most recently (like 2 weeks ago), a jade pothos and a silver pothos.

I’ve had an assortment of succulents as well over the years- some even as large as a gallon.

i bought a creeping jenny on amazon as no one in Philly had any without it being part of some bundle arrangement of other plants i didnt want. Almost every planter i walk past to work has them and i wasnt about to steal cuttings so to amazon i went. No issues other than i didnt realize how fast they grow. came as a few 2 inch growths in a pot, not its overflowing the shelf i put it on a month later.

I bought some small 4” plants from Amazon. I live in Los Angeles so I found a seller who is local so they wouldn’t spend too much time being transported.
