Main Issue: thin stem, small leaves
Had this beauty outside on a covered patio all summer. I also use a FLF fertilizer and I think I water her enough. I water until it starts coming out the bottom hole every 7-10 days. I only brought her inside bc it’s cooling down outside at night. Continuous new growth all summer! In this spot, it’s usually brighter but it’s an overcast day.
I can not get her leaves to grow bigger! And with being outside and endured many windy days, I can not get her stem to thicken.
Ideas please – grow light probably?

Adding – also when spring hits, how and where do I cut to initiate branching?!
I have leaves emerging from the base of mine too. And so now I have a gap in between the main top leaves and the bottom ones. I wonder if this is normal. Someone on here suggested I take the bottom ones out because it would take away from the top growth and I did that but they came back so I’m leaving them be. I just can’t get mine to grow taller.
You have a Ficus Bambino and it’s healthy and BEAUTIFUL!! 🤩 They are still hard to find. It’s probably two trees and you can separate them. Just soak the whole root ball in Superthrive (look up parameters for a Superthrive drench) and gently separate the two root balls. I can recommend what I use for soil if you need more details! I keep mine in a standard shape (lollipop 🍭). I think you have to prune to get them to branch just like the regular. But I’m not sure. I believe they only get about 5 feet tall. You can do some research to find a shape you like and prune accordingly. Don’t do any hard pruning now depending on where you live. Once temps go down to 55 and there is less light, it will slow the regrowth process. Congratulations! It’s so cute ! 🥰
