I use a mix with 50% soil and 50% perlite, pine bark, and leca

If you’re new to Monsteras, I’d recommend watching some YouTube videos

  3. If you want big leaves and fenestrations: plenty of light, good room temperature (or more) biiig pots (careful with watering) and fertilizer every once in a while or if needed. If you want that, also you will want to make sure there’s only one plant in the pot.
In general, at some point you will want a stake to tie the main stem to. There’s plant velcro to do that easily. I don’t like moss poles, as they need to be watered constantly. Roots can just be directed into the soil. that way your Monstera grows as fast an big as possible – given enough root space.

Regarding light: Mine’s outside in the summer, so they can take a lot of sunlight in moderate climates. They will also survive if they don’t have a lot of light, but then they will grow slow, high and thin, and produce small leaves with no good fenestration.

Def let her acclimate to your spot before repotting her. These are usually in greenhouses so the shock of a new environment AND new soil/pot can be a lot. I let them sit for a week in their new home and then make a good chunky soil mix! I’m so jealous! The ones where I’m at are 190$ for that size

I would repot, costa farms has terrible soil and the self watering pot will lead to root rot in a thai con. Use a chunky mix (1/3 soil, 1/3 perlite, 1/3 orchid bark).

Stop repotting them as soon as you get them. You’ll kill the plant.
